About Me

My path to money coaching started closer to home than you might think.

Like a lot of people, I grew up watching money cause stress that had nothing to do with how much there was. That stayed with me, and eventually it became the reason I started studying money psychology, not just money math.

CERTIFICATIONS

From The Classroom

Teaching taught me that how you explain something matters as much as what you're explaining.

I spent years as an elementary school teacher, first and second grade. Patience, meeting people where they are, making complex concepts feel approachable: those weren’t just teaching skills.

“They turned out to be exactly what money coaching requires.”

After earning my certification as a life and mindset coach, I started connecting the dots I’d already been living. Money isn’t just about numbers. Our experiences, emotions, and patterns shape the way we manage money, too.

My Approach

The right method depends on the person, not the other way around.

I’ve studied and experimented with a lot of money frameworks over the years. I’m not here to hand you a rigid system and tell you to follow it.

I’m a big believer in the work of Morgan Housel, particularly his idea that personal finance is more personal than it is finance. If you haven’t read The Psychology of Money or The Art of Spending Money, they are on my short list of books I recommend to almost every client.

“I’m here to help you build something that actually fits your life.”

I care about my clients and their outcomes. I’m not coming in with an agenda.

I also work with YNAB as a tool for helping clients create visibility and intentionality with their money without the guilt spiral.

But more than any tool or book, I care about my clients and their outcomes. I’m not coming in with an agenda for them. I’m coming in ready to listen.  I care less about creating the “perfect” financial plan and more about helping clients build systems they can realistically maintain in everyday life that reduce their financial stress.

My Philosophy

Both the math and the mindset

Money isn’t just about the numbers; it’s also about the mindset. And once you gently start to address both, everything changes.

My approach isn’t one-size-fits-all. It never has been. I’ve studied many frameworks so I can match the right approach to the right person, not force the person into the framework.

Meet people where they are

No judgment, no shame. Every client starts from a different place, and the work begins there.

1
The method follows the person

I'm not here to sell a system. I'm here to find what works for you specifically.

2
Listen first, prescribe second

I'm not coming in with an agenda. The plan comes from what I hear.

When I'm Not Coaching

The life that money makes possible.

Money coaching, for me, has always been about what money makes possible. I want to understand the life my clients want to live so we can build financial systems that support it, because I know how much those details matter.

When I’m not coaching, you’ll usually find me with my family, trailing my older son at a golf tournament or quietly cheering on my younger son at a chess match. We love exploring Florida and new corners of the world, so ask me about the latest adventure we’re planning.
